Ely, MN is a little town on the edge of civilization. It's home to the International Wolf Center, Blueberry Fest, and for many, it's the last stop before heading into the deep woods of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (an area of approximately 190,000 acres of uncut forest and over 1,100 lakes). Not only is it a fun little town that holds lots of good memories for me and my family, it's the place where I first sold this type of bag.
"The Ely" is a gorgeous mottled brown rustic tote and is perfect for work, the gym, or a summer picnic. It's made from waxed leather that displays a wonderful pull-up from Acadia Leather, with a large outside pocket. Handmade from start to finish, I've cut this from one large piece of leather and hand sewn it with Maine Thread poly-cord. The straps are double sided, glued, and stitched for durability and then brass riveted to the body.
Brass rivets complete the look and add additional strength. Simple, rustic, yet stylish this piece will serve you for years to come.
